That tone pot sounds surprisingly resonant. Anything unique going on there? I really like the character of that and think it would sound great with a second knob doing the same style thing as a HPF.

I had a gtr with those pick ups. They are the ultimate surf sound. If the gtr was the model I would still own it. It had a warped neck, snapped truss rod. I fix gtrs now, I would have repaired that neck. It was the 60s rosewood I think solid neck with a rosewood top. Gorgeous graining with that mahoany, cherry stain. I should have at least kept the pickups for a project gtr. But, young, needed a new, better gtr to improve. Many gtrs later you learn they all have personalities from one to the other. That particular 60s would be a keeper it sounds awesome and seems to be set up to play well. Congrats to the owner.
